Xiangshan Railway Station |
Another nice day of walking along a pleasant stretch of coastline! I had been quite lucky in recent walks, and this one was no exception. After only a bit of road I got to the ocean, where the Hsinchu 17km Coastal Bike Path awaited.

The path was by the sea mainly, although at times it went inland a bit, following muddy and marshy inlets.

There were quite a few people out enjoying the fine weather and scenery: families, couples, groups of friends. Most of them were on two wheels or four, but all using pedal power.

The path also meandered through and around various factories and industrial parks, but nothing too noisy or stinky.

One section near Hsinchu Harbor was quite nice, with lovely canals and bridges.

Got it? Good! |
I eventually got to the harbor, and had a snack and a beverage. Then, fortunately, there was a bus right to the train station, and I didn't have to wait too long. I stood at the bus stop for a few minutes, watching the kites dance in the brisk wind.
